Seven year anniversary of the tsunami disaster in Aceh on December 26, 2004, a family drama set in the back of one of the greatest tragedies of mankind nature has ever experienced was released in theaters many places in Indonesia. Titled memorize prayers Delisa, a novel titled the same as the work of Tere Liye. The story of the efforts of a child who survived the tsunami to continue his life, memorizing prayers Delisa recognized to have some moments that can make the audience were shocked and sympathize with all the trials through which the characters present in the story of this film.
The film itself revolves around Delisa Delisa (Chantiq Schagerl) welcomes today reading tests rote prayer. By his mother, Salamah (Nirina Zubir), Delisa promised to be given a gold necklace with the initials of his name when he will be able to pass the test of rote prayer read. Obviously Delisa then bending strength to memorize the prayers read all that has been given to him. Test day arrives, December 26, 2004. Delisa spirit felt sure that he would be able to pass the exam and get a gold necklace as long as he wants. However, at the same time, after a major earthquake, a tsunami swept Delisa and the people around him whom he recognized.
Lucky, Delisa survived the tsunami even though he had lost his mother and his brother and one of his legs had to be amputated because it was seriously injured. Rescued by an American volunteer soldier, Smith (Mike Lewis) and cared for by a nurse who also volunteers from the United States, Sofie (Loide Christina Teixeira), Delisa slowly began to recover and regain the joy of life. Joy especially intensified after his father, Usman (Reza Rahadian), which works far outside the city, came to pick her up. Now, Delisa and Usman have returned to the real world, where they must face the challenges of a new life after the disaster spending all possessions and take the people they care about.
This film has a touching story and full of lessons, for viewers who watch it all be a lot of tears. Speaking of the tsunami tragedy in the background of the film, of course, not be separated from how the filmmakers to bring special effects to take the audience the feel of a natural disaster. Delisa rote prayer can bring disastrous moment into visual evek, although not as good as the film in foreign Countries.
Chantiq Schagerl in appearance to play a role in acting fairly intended by the optimistic character of a child. Nirina Zubir, Reza Rahadian and Fathir Muchtar, they were also able to show the acting in the character played by them. If there is a little problem, maybe it comes from the way Mike Lewis and Loide Christina Teixeira trying to turn the character they play. It looks awkward and failed to join the acting skills of the other players
Finally, despite the myriad of potential background story that seems to be enough to make the film look so touching.
